Getting Started
Deadline-Safe Exhibit Preparation Workflow
Check the complete exhibit set, preserve your saved files, and recover interruptions before a filing deadline.
Use this checklist to catch missing files, incorrect labels, and save problems before you file. Check the receiving court or forum’s instructions separately; ExhibitPrep does not submit filings or determine acceptance.
Before stamping
- Keep a separate copy of your original source files.
- Export Office documents to PDF if you need their contents stamped. Check converted images and any placeholder pages. See supported files.
- In Documents, confirm the full set, order, exhibit labels, and any titles or categories. Automatic labels change when you reorder.
- In the Stamp tab, choose First page only, All pages, or Specific pages. Bates numbers have their own settings.
- Choose Check placement and inspect pages with different sizes or rotations. Keep stamps clear of text and signatures.
Before downloading
- Prepare the files and check that every intended document succeeded. A partial result omits failed documents.
- Open the finished-file preview. Review labels, stamp placement, and the first and last page of each document, plus any pages needing closer attention.
- For a combined PDF, check the contents, dividers, exhibit transitions, page references, and bookmarks.
- Correct problems through Edit Position or Stamp setup, then prepare and review again. See reviewing previews.
After downloading
- Open the saved PDF. If you saved a ZIP, extract it and open the PDFs inside.
- Confirm that the full set is present and check the final pages again. Confirm the save in ExhibitPrep when prompted.
- Keep the finished files under your firm’s normal naming, retention, and backup policy. Use Save project, when available, for a copy you can reopen in ExhibitPrep. Keep your original source files too.
If work is interrupted
Keep the workspace open. Retry a failed preview or save using the controls shown. If the workspace closed, return in the same browser and look for Recent jobs, or reopen a saved .exhibitprep project.
Re-downloading the same delivered copy does not require another purchase. Changed downloads follow the revision rights shown for that purchase. See download recovery before paying again.
Recent jobs are stored in this browser and are not a permanent backup. Do not clear site data until your files are safely saved elsewhere. See saving projects and privacy and storage. If recovery still fails, use the issue-report option below and describe the last completed step without including confidential contents.
