Operational error reports use controlled error categories, application versions, counts, and static code locations. Document names, labels, contents, and credential links are excluded.

When you make a payment for a single document or day pass, we collect:

Payment processing is handled securely by our third-party payment processor. We do not store complete credit card numbers or sensitive payment information on our servers. We retain transaction records for accounting, tax compliance, and customer support purposes.

ExhibitPrep does not send your document contents to third parties for processing. Other software on your device operates independently, as explained below.

Browsers and other software on your device

Our on-device privacy statements describe ExhibitPrep’s own document-processing service, provided on a best-effort basis. They are not a guarantee of the privacy or security of your entire device. Browsers, extensions, operating systems, cloud-sync or backup services, malware, and other software may independently access, store, or transmit information. ExhibitPrep does not control their behavior.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for privacy or security effects caused independently by third-party browsers or other software outside our control. This does not limit our responsibility for ExhibitPrep’s own handling of information or any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Use a trusted, updated device, review browser-extension permissions and backup settings, and follow your organization’s document-handling requirements. Local processing does not replace those precautions.

The architecture of ExhibitPrep provides inherent security advantages:

• Local Document Processing: Our service does not transmit document contents to a processing server
• Local Recovery Storage: Document recovery copies stay in your browser, subject to the device and software limits above
• Encryption: All web traffic uses HTTPS encryption
• Payment Security: Payment data is handled by PCI-compliant processors

While we implement industry-standard security measures for the limited data we do collect (analytics and payment records), document privacy also depends on the device, browser, other software, and settings you use.

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your information:

• Access: Request information about data we collect about you
• Deletion: Request deletion of your payment transaction records (subject to legal retention requirements)
• Opt-Out: Disable analytics cookies through your browser settings
• Browser Controls: Processing stays on your device. Completed recovery copies are generally removed from this browser 30 days after job creation. Unfinished deliveries, pending receipts, and active revision windows may remain longer so paid access is not lost. You can delete them at any time from Recent Jobs or by clearing site data.

ExhibitPrep is designed for legal professionals and pro se litigants. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 years of age.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of ExhibitPrep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
