eFileTexas is the mandatory e-filing system for all Texas courts since 2019 under TRCP Rule 21(f). All exhibits must be text-searchable PDFs at 300 DPI minimum, with 25 MB individual file limits and 35 MB combined limits.

eFileTexas Requirements

300 DPI Minimum

Texas requires 300 DPI resolution for all e-filed documents. When scanning, set scanner to 300 DPI. Lower resolution documents may be rejected.

Text-Searchable PDFs

All exhibits must be text-searchable (OCR). TRCP Rule 21(f) mandates searchable PDFs for e-filing. Image-only scans will be rejected.

File Size Limits

25 MB per individual file, 35 MB combined per envelope. Harris County often uses Box file-sharing for large exhibits exceeding these limits.
